drops of dew
covered shoulders
brewed beneath love
licked lids in flight
or glistening
along glittering hair
to a thigh's sigh -
more beneath
i wonder
along shoals
sifting through
the sea wrack and shells
left behind  -

her and mine
i wonder alone
the wrack
cluttered and crunching
beneath my feet
cutting hoof and claw
rasping for flight
and watch the gulls
drop blue mussels
just beyond the waters reach
blue shells worn and bearded
from silver to black
that i clutch, crouching
between surf and song.
